Breakfast Blend / Morning Sky
When asked what making art means to him, George thoughtfully replied, “You show people how you feel inside”. He has been making art since high school and his work reflects a confidence of materials and a trust in intuition. His talents range from painting to mixed media on canvas and assemblage sculpture. “I don’t have a favorite medium, I do whatever pops into my head”. Currently his favorite subject matter is “anything about Jesus”. George, who has a mild intellectual disability does not let that define him or hold him back. He is learning to play the guitar and is comfortable in the kitchen. “I love to cook; I don’t like to clean up”.
George’s artwork, Morning Sky, was selected to visually represent the sensory aspect of HÆRFEST COFFEE’S Breakfast Blend- which has a delicate vanilla and floral aroma, mild and classic tasting notes, and a clean and crisp finish -reminiscent of the first early morning hours at sunrise.
