Made in Iran, this 60-70 year old (Antique) Authentic Persian Sirjan rug is Hand Knotted in Iran of 100% Natural Wool and has 100 knots per square inch. Colors found in this rug include: Red, Navy Blue, Ivory, Green, Blue, Orange, Purple. The primary color is Red. This rug is 1/2" thick. This rug is in Very Good condition, with minor blemishes (Abrash, Low Pile). Gathering the wool
Our weavers raise their herds until the wool is ready to be sheared each year. Once the wool is collected and washed, it is often spun by hand before it enters the natural, vegetable dyes created uniquely each time.
From loom...
After the dyes have settled into the wool, it will be carefully placed onto a loom where the weaving process begins. The meticulous process is done by the hands of skilled weavers where the craft has been shared between generations.

Depending on the size, it can take several years to finish the rug completely. In the end, a One-of-a-Kind, modern piece of fine artisanship has come into being. It will then be ready to be enjoyed by its future owner.
