Made in Iran, this Authentic Persian Bakhtiar rug is Hand Knotted in Iran of 100% Natural Wool and has 150 knots per square inch. This rug is 30-35 Years old. Colors found in this rug include: Red, Ivory, Navy Blue, Olive, Green, Blue. The primary color is Red. This rug is 1/2" thick. This rug is in excellent condition. Gathering the wool
Our weavers raise their herds until the wool is ready to be sheared each year. Once the wool is collected and washed, it is often spun by hand before it enters the natural, vegetable dyes created uniquely each time.

After the dyes have settled into the wool, it will be carefully placed onto a loom where the weaving process begins. The meticulous process is done by the hands of skilled weavers where the craft has been shared between generations.
