Heriz

Heriz is a small town located in north-western Iran with a grand reputation. The tribal Heriz style is a thick, heavier rug renowned for its geometric patterns and earthy tones. While no two Heriz rugs are identical, they tend to have an attractive similarity. Most have a light background shade of red, beige, browns, and yellows with a large rectangular medallion in navy blue or black in the center. Large sizes are most common.
